It’s been a few months since our initial visit to Concrete Beach Brewing in Wynwood but a lot has changed.  First bottles of Rica & Stiltsville hit the shelves, then kegs started to roll out into the market and now the Social Hall has opened!

Hood's Up Brewery will be a small batch brewery located in Sanford, FL. Specializing in sours, saisons, barrel aged beers & wild ales.

Recently we were in Ybor City and swung by Cigar City Cider & Mead. The tasting room is located in central Ybor and is actually in the original location of the Tampa Bay Brewing Co.

THE BEER EXCHANGE RELEASES THE BEX TRADE REPORT – THREE FLOYDS AND RUSSIAN RIVER TOP THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER BREWERIES LIST

With the most users seeking out one or more beers from these breweries, Three Floyds, Russian River, Goose Island, The Bruery, and Cigar City are the top 5 most sought after breweries in the beer trading game.

The Beer Exchange – an app and social network dedicated to craft beer trading – released the first BEX Trade Report to highlight the top five most sought after breweries. Based on user data from TheBeerExchange.io, the report tallies the total number of unique users “In Search Of” individual beers from each brewery and ranks them accordingly. Three Floyds, Russian River, Goose Island, The Bruery, and Cigar City are the top 5, respectively.

I recently attended an open house at the soon to open Concrete Beach Brewery located in the heart of Wynwood’s Art District. The 11,000 square-foot brewery will feature a twenty-barrel brew house and, an indoor/outdoor Social Hall for public gatherings as well as live entertainment.

We paid a visit to LauderAle, Broward County's newest brewery, a few days after Kyle Jones and Joey Farrell opened their doors. The brewery is located in a central Broward warehouse, off the beaten path in the shadows of FPL's Port Everglades power plant.

Biscayne Brewing Company

We sat down with Gus Chacon, who, along with fellow co-owner Jose Mallea, will be opening Biscayne Brewing Company in the not too distant future. The brewery will be located on NW 25th Street in Doral, a couple of blocks west of the Palmetto Expressway. There will be a tasting room added to the 15,000 square foot facility shortly after they get the beer flowing.

The minute that you walk into Green Bench Brewing Co. you know that it’s a place you want to hang out at.  The cool vibe hits you the moment you step off the sidewalk. We were told that the property was originally an auto dealership back in the early days of the auto industry. After a few years, the owner of the property turned it into a storage facility and it stayed that way until Green Bench took it over.

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a year since Funky Buddha Brewery first opened its doors in June, 2013. With its first anniversary set for May 31, 2014, the brewery is ready to celebrate with a day-long festival of live music, the area’s best food trucks, and dozens of its own brand of culinary-influenced beers. Now, as year two looms, Funky Buddha is in the midst of a three-million dollar expansion featuring new equipment, a larger space, and bottles of its unique and innovative beer on the way this fall.
