The taping is done and the film crews have departed to its next stop in Tennessee, but for a couple of days in Miami, the Brew Dogs were superstars of the craft beer community in South Florida. Wynwood Brewing Company, the first production microbrewery in the City of Miami, became the main stage for the filming last night of the Miami episode that will air as part of the Esquire TV show’s third season. The third season will start airing on April 2015 and the Miami episode aired May 20th. Check the listings or On Demand for a rerun.

More than 200 people gathered in the parking lot of the brewery at 565 NW 24th Street to be part of the filming and watch the Brew Dogs - James Watt and Martin Dickie - share their passion and inspiration for craft beer. With WBCo. Founder, Luis G. Brignoni, they were up on stage while a cheering crowd was given the opportunity to taste, for the very first time, the beer that had been concocted with their help by Wynwood Brewing - the Ultimate Vice Miami. The beer’s was inspired by the Great American Beer Festival Gold Medal winner Pop’s Porter and infused with several “symbolic” Miami ingredients like rum, key limes, and sweet plantains.

Brignoni thanked the craft beer loving crowd for sharing this moment and then it was time for the Brew Dogs to come on stage and do their magic. They invited the crowd - all of whom had been given a cup of the Ultimate Vice -  to first sniff, say “Hello” to the beer, and taste it by passing it  through all the taste buds in the mouth. A magical craft beer moment in Wynwood!
