EVERYONE ENJOYED A Playful Approach to Some Serious Beer Tastings

Grovetoberfest’s little sister kicked Spring into high gear on Saturday, March 7th. Her name is Sprung!, and she’s all grown up and featured over 200 Spring and Summer ales in the heart of Coconut Grove at Peacock Park.

A little bit of rain didn't deter 4,000 beer fans who “got sprung” on unlimited samplings of New Belgium, Founder’s, SweetWater, Green Flash, Sierra Nevada, Brooklyn Brewery, Kona, Magic Hat, Shiner, Shipyard, Harpoon, Blue Moon and many others. There was also a complete lineup of Florida beers from Schnebly, Cigar City, Tequesta Brewing and Florida Beer, along with local breweries such as Funky Buddha, Wynwood Brewing, and Biscayne Bay Brewing. The homebrew section showcased brews created by locals who are passionate about their beer. Keep an eye on these brewers, because more often than none, they end up opening a brewery of their own.
