Concrete Beach Brewery’s 3rd Annual Miami GrasBlock Party and Can Release is Back and Better Than Ever

Concrete Beach Brewery’s Third Annual Miami Gras Block Party returns on Saturday, March 9th, from 2-10PM. The event combines the rhythm of the Caribbean and Latin Carnaval, and flavors of Mardi Gras, with the backdrop of Wynwood.

This year the brewery is closing down NW 24th Street during the monthly Wynwood Art Walk and bringing in a variety of new music acts, including favoriteBachaco, live interactive art performances and a variety of local eats and vendors. The event marks the brewery’s annual release of their Miami Gras beer, a French-style Saison made with orange-blossom honey. Pints will be available for sale throughout the event, with limited edition cans available for sale to-go.

Live music begins at 3:00 PM, with performances byBad Apple Brass BrandNuGrau and others, withBachaco to close out the party. There will also be interactive performances by Carnaval de Barranquilla,live samba dancers and more.

This year’s food vendors include Aja Venezuelan and Colombian Food TruckMadrecita’s Bistro Restaurantand St. Nola Fusion. Additional onsite vendor/partners include PAXyMiami FCShark RadioMiami New TimesBrew Grooming and more.

This year’s Miami Gras non-profit partner is PAXy,whose mission is to connect people through art. Concrete Beach will donate $1 per pint of Miami Gras beer sold during the duration of the event (2-10pm) to pAXy, with a maximum donation of  $1,000.*

“Miami Gras is a diverse experience that celebrates Caribbean and Latin culture without missing a beat. The block party pulls in so many backgrounds, with a variety of sounds, taste, and of course, beer,” said Nathalie Maltez, Senior Marketing Specialist at Concrete Beach. “This year we moved the event to Wynwood’s monthly Art Walk tradition to present and support local art and bring music to the crowd for the day.”

Miami Gras, a French-style Saison, is brewed with orange-blossom honey, inspired by the innovative cocktails found on the streets of New Orleans. Miami Gras is a dry, yet fruity ale with notes of pepper, citrus and spice. It’s a beer brewed for celebration, pairing perfectly with feathered costumes, sparkly beads.

Malt: 2 Row, Wheat, Flaked Oats, Honey
Hops: Galena, Tettnang
ABV: 7.2% Alc./Vol.
Other Ingredients: Wildflower Honey

Concrete Beach Brewery’s Social Hall located at 325 NW 24th St. and features an 18-tap bar that serves an ever-changing roster of classic and newly inspired beers to suit all tastes and a rotating list of events. The Social Hall is open Sunday-Thursday 12PM-12AM and Friday-Saturday 12PM-2 AM.
