J. Wakefield Brewing has announced that their beer will be offered at this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, on April 13-15 & April 20-22, in Indio, California.

This marks the first time that JWB beers will be poured at a major music festival. 40 kegs of El Jefe and Stush have been shipped and will be served at craft beer outlets at the Empire Polo Field where the festival is held.

JWB’s involvement happened by chance when JWB owner Johnathan Wakefield and head brewer, Maria Cabre met Beer Belly owner, Jimmy Han, at The Iron Press, a craft beer and waffle shop in Costa Mesa. Jimmy has been curating the craft beer offerings at Coachella for the past 5 years. He tasted JWB’s beer and decided to add them to the lineup.

This year’s Coachella also promises to have a strong selection of food from several well-known LA eateries and another Miami original, Broken Shaker, will be providing craft cocktails.
