Popular Delray Gastropub Is A Staple On Atlantic Avenue

Tryst, the original gastropub in Delray Beach, has been a favorite of residents for years. Inspired by the colorful culture of European bars, the restaurant is where locals gather well into the night sharing delicious drinks, food and stories.

Spring will keep diners coming back for more with the full schedule of events kicking off this March! The colorful fun begins on Wednesday, March 9 with Tryst’s “Funky Buddha and Fwaygo Rum Event.” Make reservations quickly to experience prize-winning porters such as Maple Bacon Coffee Porter and  Last Snow, as well as Floridian, Lemon Meringue and plenty of handcrafted rum cocktails. The event will run from 5 to 10 p.m. and guests will have a choice of a prix fixe menu ($42 per person) or several à la carte selections. Three specially created small plates will be paired with three unique beers or cocktails, and drink purchases earn raffle chances for prizes.

On Saturday, March 12 (and again on March 17), Tryst will feature live music by Octogato and menu specials all day beginning at 11 a.m. to coincide with the wildly popular Delray Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Specials include: $5 Left Hand Milk Stout drafts, $10 Irish Car Bombs, $4 green Bud Light, $7 Tullamore Dew shots,  as well as a number of Irish inspired food specials. For every Left Hand purchased guests will be entered into a raffle.

The fun continues into Friday and Saturday, March 18 -19, with “Bacon Bourbon Fest” ($300/ticket). Only 25 lucky guests will have the chance to enjoy an exclusive one-hour seminar, the Pappy Van Winkle Tasting Experience, which begins at 8 p.m.

Award-winning Executive Chef, John Thomas says, “Discerning bourbon enthusiasts will be treated to the dream of a lifetime. We’ll have five extremely rare varieties of Pappy Van Winkle for them to try in 10, 12, 15, 20 and 23-year-old bottles.”

Tryst prides itself on using the finest organic, farm-fresh produce and artisanal ingredients. The restaurant offers more than 30 wines by the glass and an extensive half-bottle list. Classic cocktails are artfully prepared from scratch with the freshest ingredients. Outdoor patio seating is available in addition to full dining service indoors and at the sprawling bar.

Tryst is open: Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.; and Sundays 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. They are located at 4 E Atlantic Avenue just east of Swinton Avenue on Atlantic Avenue, directly across the street from Old School Square.
