With New Immersive Event Come to Your Senses
Concrete Beach Brewery’s Deck the Walls spiced imperial porter is back – and the Wynwood-based brewery is celebrating not with one, but two parties during the week of Art Basel! The first event – new this year – is an immersive experience, Come to Your Senses will take place the day that the galleries open throughout Miami, on Thursday, December 5th, starting at 7pm. The second is their annual Deck the Walls can release party celebrating the winning can artist from the 2019 can art competition and releasing the beer itself in cans. Saturday’s party also marks the end of this year’s competition, after two weeks of a public vote (10/30-11/15) for the 2020 can.
Come To Your Senses will be an immersive evening of beer, art and food co-hosted with publications NY Style Guide and Miami Style Guide. The event will feature four artists – 2019 winner Tiffany Beasi, Nate Dee, Kat Mastsuzawa-Zarich and NY-based Jasin Cadic– working with their mediums live, alongside delicious bites from celebrity chef, Nik Fields’ creation.
The pairing will also include a sampling of four Concrete Beach beers: new Coastal Clara, flagship Havana Lager, brewery favorite Más Hops and a sneak peek at limited release Deck the Walls, which officially releases two days later, in cans on that Saturday, December 7th.
The first hour (7-8pm) Brooklyn-based Frankie Silver will play acoustic guitar, while Head Brewer Eric Hernandez and Chef Nik will be in the crowd, available to chat through pairings.Afterwards, DJ Law will be spinning and keeping the party going throughout the night.
Deck the Walls is a big, flavorful, well-balanced imperial porter brewed with spices and roasted chocolate malt that clocks in at 8.1% ABV and 35 IBU's.
“We are thrilled to re-introduce our Deck the Walls spiced imperial porter this year,” said Eric Hernandez, Head Brewer of Concrete Beach Brewery. “I’m particularly excited for the Come to Your Senses event, introducing the pairing component, it was a blast to work with Chef Nik and highlight flavors in both the bites and beer.”
The can release will follow closely behind, starting at 2pm on Saturday, December 7th to continue the celebration of all things art and beer. The DTW can art competition ran from 10/30-11/15 this year, with the 2020 can art winner being announced on 12/7. The event is to also celebrate last year’s winner, Tiffany Beasi’s artwork on this year’s can and announce the 2020 winner following the competition’s end on 11/30. For more information, visit
