Experience the “Caribbean Island Effect”
If you’ve been to a beer festival in South Florida in the last couple of years, odds are you’ve tried something from Legacy Caribbean Craft Brewery. Their beers have been in limited distribution for a while and now they’re excited to announce that their tasting room is opening!
Brothers Ismael Fernandez and Hector Gonzalez make small batches with a focus on quality, aroma and taste instead of quantity. Their motto is simple, “If it isn’t done right, then why do it?”
Ismael learned to brew from his grandfather who instilled in him “Stay true to yourself”. The brothers explained to me that Legacy Caribbean Craft Brewery came about as a tribute to their grandfather and said “This means we must make the best possible beers that are full-flavored, drinkable and Caribbean-style with the best ingredients so that the beer is up to our forefather’s strict standards.”
The brewery is located just south of Opa Locka Airport at 13416 NW 38th Court, Opa-Locka, FL 33054. Initially, the tasting room is going to be open from 4-8 p.m. Thurs -Sat and 1-7 p.m. on Sundays.
