We made a quick stop by Ten10 Brewing in Orlando.
How'd they get the name you wonder..... it came with the building. They are located at 1010 Virginia Drive, right along the Urban Bike Trail in the Mills50 District.
We showed up unannouced but Mike Wallace (co-owner & head brewer) was on hand along with a couple members of his team so we were able to get a quick tour and have a great discussion. They said that they've been open about 6 months so that would make it late summer 2015. Mike said it took them about 19 months to get up and running with all of the red tape that new breweries seem to have to deal with but the wait was well worth it.
From the number of different beers on tap, the 3 barrel brewhouse, six 7 barrel fermenters and bite tank have been kept pretty busy cranking out solid beers. We tried over a half dozen of their beers and there wasn't a single one that I wouldn't drink again. Between twelve of their own beers plus a couple of guest taps, every style seemed to be covered. They also offer locally made wine (the winery is literally around the corner) and a in-house brewed root beer for those looking for something non-alcoholic. Oh, and they have food on the menu too!
Next time you're in Orlando, it's well worth your time to check them out!
