Concrete Beach Brewery will serve as official craft beer sponsor of upcoming Florida Supercon at the Miami Beach Convention Center, hosted by ReedPOP – the world’s leading producer of pop culture events – this July 4-7, 2019. To celebrate the annual cosplay event, the brew team has prepared a brand new ale, brewed with pineapple juice, for heroes and villains alike. This is a second take of a Supercon-inspired ale, and with this new beer, the brewery worked with local artist and friend, Golden.
The new Concrete-A-Con will unveil itself at the brewery on June 28, 2019, from 6-11PM. The light-bodied ale packs a powerful punch. Made with fresh pineapple puree and Centennial hops, it features a tropical burst of flavor with a tart finish.

The can features artwork by local artist, Golden, who pulled from the Wynwood neighborhood for inspiration, featuring faces of the community on the can. But this isn’t the first time the brewery has worked with him, including during the Int’l MOS Art Basel event sponsorship and custom t-shirts for the brewery staff. So, when it came time to make this new beer, it was important for the art to represent Wynwood the most appropriate way, bringing the neighborhood to the cosplay event.
“The artwork was inspired by the people of 24th Street, surrounding the brewery, before it became what it is now,” said local artist Golden. “Concrete Beach Brewery became part of the local culture, incorporating their craft beer and unique event line-up with locals, the way we live – a unique mix of culture, business and tradition. This clearly shows that big business can be successful in Wynwood and respect the way of those living there before them.”
The Wynwood-based artist will be available for can signing and meet n’ greet at the brewery launch, as well as live painting on the brewery’s roll-up door facing the street. In addition, the brewery will have arcade games, screenprinting and delicious Hawaiian food!
The brewery will have a booth at Florida Supercon throughout the weekend, offering limited edition stickers, exhibiting live art and a superhero-themed photobooth to capture all of those cosplay looks and memories. You can buy tickets for the event here.
