Concrete Beach Brewery’s Gallery Series Returns This Year with Brewery Kick-Off, Limited Release Beers & Signature Events
Concrete Beach Brewery lives up to its Drink Art. Make Beer. tagline this fall with the return of their Gallery Series in October. The month-long series is designed to give Head Brewer Eric Hernandez a chance to put a handful of his specialty beers on display. The series starts off with an exclusive Flights & Bites pairing event featuring Eduko’s Gastro Tavern on 10/3 from 7-9PM at the brewery, but beer fans will be able to catch these artful beers throughout Miami this October at signature events at select bars and restaurants. See below for more details.
This year, Concrete Beach will release three beers for the occasion: Azúcar, a Doppelbock aged on rum barrels, Pisco Sour Berliner, and Sangre de Flor, an Imperial Porter.
“This year’s Gallery Series gives us a great opportunity to introduce new, innovative beer styles that can be enjoyed either out in the market or at the brewery.” Head Brewer Eric Hernandez said. “This year is particularly special, as we are releasing our first ever barrel-aged beer, Azúcar, along with a unique Pisco Sour Berliner and returning fan favorite Sangre de Flor!”
More specifics on the Gallery Series beers below:
- Azúcar
This rich doppelbock’s aroma of biscuit and toasty malt is complemented by a crisp, clean lager finish. Brewed with brown sugar and aged in Jamaican Rum barrels, Azúcar is a unique beer rounded out by a pleasant sweetness.
Ingredients & Stats:
- Malt: 2-Row, Munich, CaraMunich, Roasted Barley, Brown Sugar
- Hops: Northern Brewer, Saaz
- ABV: 9.5%
- IBU: 25
- Pisco Sour Berliner
Inspired by the classic Peruvian cocktail, Pisco Sour Berliner is a kettle-soured ale that’s aged on Muscat grapes and lime juice. The original recipe calls for egg whites to give it a rich creamy texture and foamy head, while this version is brewed with high protein malts for a similar effect. Like a true Pisco, the beer has a crisp white wine grape aroma, followed by a refreshing splash of tart citrus.
Ingredients & Stats:
- Malt: 2-Row, Wheat, Acidulated
- Hops: Mosaic, Amarillo
- Special Ingredients: Muscat Canneli grape juice, lime juice, lactobacillus
- ABV: 5%
- IBU: 10
- Sangre de Flor Imperial Chocolate Hibiscus Porter
Back by popular demand after its 2017 Gallery Series release, this unique beer imparts a beautiful, deep brown, reddish hue. Strong notes of chocolate, brown sugar and dark malts dominate the palate with hints of slightly sweet, floral hibiscus flavor.
Ingredients & Stats:
- Malt: 2-Row, White Wheat, Crystal, Chocolate Malt 350L, 6-Row
- Hops: Cascade
